cpp-arm-linux-gnueabi software package provides GNU C preprocessor (cpp) for the armel architecture, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cpp-arm-linux-gnueabi
cpp-arm-linux-gnueabi is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cpp-arm-linux-gnueabi package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cpp-arm-linux-gnueabi *
You will get with cpp-arm-linux-gnueabi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
